Dog Training
Lunar Paws offers a variety of options for one to one, reward-based training, suitable for any guardians needing help and guidance to assist with their dogs training.

We use only positive reinforcement techniques in all of our services. Positive reinforcement, or R+, works on the premise of providing something your dog finds rewarding in order to encourage the behaviour to happen again, as the reward influences the behaviour. Please keep in mind that positive, lasting results take time and dedication to achieve, so we advise that one-off sessions are usually not enough. Very rarely does training or behaviour modification come with a "quick fix" resolution, and a single session does not typically provide us with enough time to be able to offer you and your canine companion our maximum support and guidance.

Our custom 121 packages are available to help you and your dog with a variety of skills, such as:​
Basic obedience training

These sessions can take place either at your home or at a location suited to the requirements of the session.

Puppy Life Skills
Suitable for puppies under 6 months at the first session
​
Our puppy course has been created to help you and your puppy get to grips with essential life skills training! This course will include a variety of topics to kick start your exciting new life together, such as:
Loose lead walking
Appropriate socialisation and greetings
Play
Recall
& much more!

Standard (6 x sessions over 6 weeks) - £160
Enhanced (9 x sessions over 6 weeks) - £235

Why choose the enhanced puppy package?
As an Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy Qualified Instructor, Keavy has been coached by Steve Mann, the world renowned author of the book of the same title and founder of the IMDT. This comprehensive package has been crafted with the guidance of this course, providing a more supported approach for you and your puppy surrounding the first few weeks of your new life together!

We do appreciate that the enhanced course is not always practical for all, which is why we still provide our standard 6 week course too which covers much of the same content.

"The Dog Trainer School"
Life Skills Courses: Levels 1-4
The DTS Levels cover a whole host of skills from basic training to advanced tricks, designed to challenge and inspire you and your canine companion.
​
Your training journey begins at Level 1, where you and your dog can start to develop a variety of skills together, all the whilst conquering levels as your go!
​
​
Levels 1,2,3 and 4 are currently available.
All levels are 6 week courses and you will receive a certificate and embroidered badge on completion of the level.

What is "The Dog Trainer School" and what are their levels?
The Dog Trainer School is an organisation committed to providing support for professional dog trainers.
In order to display TDS Professional Standard logo, members must adhere to a set of ethics and guidelines that includes the use of kind and ethical training methods, and will never knowingly use anything that causes physical or emotional distress to you or your dog.

TDS Levels have been curated to provide not only a solid foundation to you and your dogs training journey, but they are also packed full of fun tricks and skills that are designed to challenge and inspire you and your canine companion!
Training Walks
During our training walks, we will take your dog out and work on the skills that you need help with. This could be things such as loose lead walking, focus and basic training.

You will be provided with a follow-up report after each walk, detailing what has been covered during the walk, as well as a training plan that you will be able to use to continue the training on your own walks.
​
Between our walks, and from then onwards, it is up to you to continue with your dogs training, as you will still need to train your dog outside of these walks (remember, consistency is key to influence the change in behaviour!).
