Keavy McGrath
ISCP Dip.Canine.Prac.
(ISCP Qualified Canine Behaviour Practitioner)
EPPI
(Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy Qualified Instructor)
Keavy owns and runs Lunar Paws. She is primarily a dog trainer, but also provides pet care services such as dog walking, pop-in visits and pet sitting. Keavy has been in the dog world for over 15 years, growing up around dogs and always having an interest in all things canine. She spent many years as a member of the Young Kennel Club, training and competing her dogs across the country in a variety of disciplines, as well as qualifying for and competing at the worlds biggest dog show - Crufts! Other animals have also featured heavily in her life, and she has worked with a variety of species in professional capacities other than dogs, including horses, raptors, small animals and zoo-housed exotics.

Keavy currently competes in agility with her papillon, Link, running at the highest level in both Kennel Club and Agility4All events. She spends her spare time when she isn't with her own dogs expanding her knowledge in canine science by keeping up to date with the latest research and methods surrounding fear-free, reward-based training and continuing her professional development.

Meet the Paws
Emrys
Emrys is Keavys' oldest dog at 10 years old, and is a retired Grade 7 agility dog. He loves to work and has competed at Crufts in various disciplines, including heelwork to music! Tricks are his favourite thing, and he has done a bit of modelling - you may recognise him from a Dyson fan advert!
Link
Link is 4 years old, and Keavys' first sole-owned dog. He has been a great teacher for her, as she helped him grow from a nervous pup into a well rounded, confident little dog. They compete at the top level of agility in the UK and he has also taken part in advertising campaigns for Pooch & Mutt!
Nico
Rune
Nico is 3 years old. He joined the gang by chance at a year old as he needed a home where he would be given a job and could have more 1:1 attention. He can be easily overwhelmed by new experiences, but together they are making progress and he is learning to love life!
Rune is the newest edition, at 1 years old! He is slightly different to the others in that he is a Phalene rather than a Papillon! The only difference between the two types are that the Phalene have dropped ones rather than erect, so are more akin to the original Continental Toy Spaniels.
The 3 (little) Reasons behind it all...
Sam, Tegan and Mikey (left to right) are the reasons Keavy does what she does!
These are the dogs she grew up with, and they have been her inspiration since she was small to be able to do her best to help dogs and their guardians to live together in harmony. They all came with their own challenges, and although they are no longer with her, they are her constant reminder that everything she aspires to achieve is for the love of dogs.
